I have recently run into a storage issue for my 2 DD's growing accumulation of bats (now up to 14)! I will probably build a rack out of wood for them for Christmas, but was hoping some other DFP members would be willing to share some photos of what they are currently using to give me some ideas. I will probably be looking to make it a rack that will hold up to 20 bats as I also have a DS that will be adding to the collection in a couple of years and you can just never have too many bats!
Thanks alot to all of the DFP members that contribute to this site, the wealth of knowledge and information is amazing!

If you are handy with wood working there are several design options. My question is why do they need 20 bats? How many of them are too small for your 2 DD's to use? Have you considered donating them to a local REC league?

14 is a lot of bats! I agree with JAD- when DD outgrows-a donation to rec is a sensible option.
Yes, I know it hurts when a perfectly good $2-300 bat is outgrown. Happy Turkey Day
You might want to check your local chapter of Bat Hoarders Anonymous ;)

He who has the most bats wins....you win. Ive seen people use a milk crate with pvc pipe sleeves cut and put in the milk crate as individual "holsters" for the bats.

My wife and I annually donate at least 1 or 2 bats to girls in our local program. We found it better to donate directly to a couple of players instead of to the "program" as inevitably the donated bats would become the property of the coaches kid! Over the last 3 years of stopping in second-hand stores and antique shops between Iowa and Connecticut visiting our oldest in college, I have a tough time just walking past a barely used composite softball bat that hasn't hardly been swung enough to even be close to broke in (especially low use Synergy and Stealth model Eastons). My wife jokes putting swings on these bats has been the best excersise program she has seen me stick to!
As my 2 younger DD's have gotten older they have experimented with a few of them, and I would guess in time they will find they may like some of the older Eastons and DeMarini bats, but for now they are content with their own bats. So for now until both of my younger DD's decide what type of bat works best for them I would rather build a new rack and store them in my basement and continue donating a couple bats a year to other young players as my DD's grow out of them or decide they don't like the feel of them.
Yes, I may be addicted to having too many bats, but it sure beats the numerous other things that I could be addicted to! I guess if anyone else has this affliction they can let me know where there are some local Softball Bats Annonymous meetings!
