is there a generally-accepted process for cleaning and then conditioning a glove?

DD just completed her last Fall tournament.
Has a 1yr old Vinci, that we havent touched once yet in regards to maintenance.

wondering how I should clean, before applying conditioner?
just water? or something more?

thanks!

I'm not sure about the cleaning part, but to condition the glove we just use gel shaving cream.

How often do y'all recommend conditioning a glove? Any downsides to conditioning?

I think less is more in this case. I think my kids do it once a season, normally after Fall ball. Just a very light coat and wipe it off after it sits for a while. It seems to work.

We use Coconut Oil.... inside and out, gloves and cleats.... Anti-Bacterial... Walmarts

Never cook her anything unless the Coconut Oil is used.... melt it and mix 50/50 with baking soda, to brush teeth & deodorant...and much more...

I lightly moisten a paper towel to wipe down DD glove to get the dirt off. Then buff with a rag and condition with Nokona a few times a year. I like the Nokona cream because you can use as little as you want and does not make the glove any heavier.
