Getting the length wrong is surprising - I agree the error was more likely in labeling rather than measuring.
Someone on another board had a long running series of posts about Demarini after he ordered the 2 bats with different weights and received bats with the same weight. Demarini offered to exchange bats, but wouldn't promise the next bat would be any different. The conversation went downhill from there and triggered a series of posts that continued whenever Demarini was mentioned.
