How does Boombah cleats fit and would you recommend them? I know that the website states order a ½ size bigger. Our TB coach has recommended us all to get the Boombah cleats, but I am a little hesitant to purchase them. Mainly because we are 8u team, and most of you know kids feet change weekly. Plus, my daughter is somewhat picky about her shoes. After taking to some of the other parents, I know that some are getting them and some may not. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Boombah cleats are really popular in men's slow pitch. I am surprised that they even come small enough for 8U. I wouldn't want to spend that much, on an 8yo, unless I was wealthy.

not that expensive

I bought both my dd a pair. One dd in 14 u & one In 10 u. Much cheaper in price than a few other popular cleats out on the market.

I bought a pair spring of last year. They looked great, tons of styles and color options. But my dd is a pitcher and the cleats were not pitcher specifically designed and the right toe of the cleat was destroyed within a month. Boombah didnt warranty them because they said we had excessive wear... but the other girls (non pitchers) cleats held up fine.

Never worn Boombah cleats, but when my DD was 8, and growing like a weed, I bought her whatever cleats were on sale because she was going to outgrow them in 4-6 months......DD got her first pair of Ringors when she was 12 and her foot had stopped growing!

My daughter (16) had a pair of Boombah Restistance Metal cleats (mens) last year and she liked them. She pitches and I added tuff-toe but sometimes she drags with the side of her foot and thats where they wore out. (but she did get one year out of them) The price was 1/2 of what Ringor cleats cost and I've heard they can be somewhat heavy.... Boombah also has clearance cleats and thats what I bought for my other daughter at $29.. I did convert from the mens to womens size and added 1/2 size larger and they fit well....

My DD and my son both wear Boombah and they both love them. My son says they are the most comfortable cleats he ever had. Also all the different colors they have will match most team colors. The only down side to Bommbah is their shipping and handling charges are just a little higher then most other companies.

DD ripped the middle two molded cleats out on both shoes within four weekends of tournaments on three separate pairs from different lot numbers. Boombah's customer service was great and they kept sending new ones, but after the third pair we went to a different brand of molded cleats.

*taking deep breath and tucking smart-alec response about 8u TB teams away*

The cause of that hesitation you felt is known as common sense. While it does make sense to go about half a size larger than the current snug fit, player comfort - not brand name - should be the primary consideration.

Bought my daughter 2 pairs on clearance to wear at practice. Once we purchased the Under Armour spikes the rest of the team will be wearing for tournaments they were cast aside. I will say the Turf shoes are some of the best shoes I have ever worn. We live within a short drive of the main store and able to try on.
