    Default Incorrect Batter’s Box

Us coaches setup the field for play. Funny story:

“Chicago— In what could be a first, the Tigers-White Sox game — the home opener for the Sox — was delayed after two batters in the top of the first inning on Friday because of an incorrectly laid-out batter's box.

    Miguel Cabrera caught the mistake.

After White Sox starter Jake Peavy struck out Austin Jackson and Brennan Boesch for the first two outs, Cabrera complained about the positioning of the batter's box as he stepped up to it.

Baseball rules dictate that the box should be six feet long and centered at home plate.

The umpires agreed that it was too far forward and called for the grounds crew who broomed away the chalk and laid down a new box.

Amid taunts from the crowd at U.S. Cellular Field, Cabrera then flied out to right.

The matter took five minutes from beginning to end to fix, but might have been the first chalk delay ever for the Tigers.”

    Been there.

Wow! At major league level. That's the first I have ever heard of something like that. Someone is going to get an @$$ chewing.
