DD used evoshield last year. The velcro made it through school ball and about 3/4 of the travel season before it gave out on one side. We glued that side to get her through fall ball. I picked up a boombah one a couple of months ago that she'll try for school ball. The boombah is NOT hard shell, so that may make a difference but it seemed well constructed.
