I was wondering about the recommended settings for softball field purposes. It seems like I'm not getting good color or a wide shot, doesn't look like it's going to cover the whole field.

Yes much cheaper and I'm not well versed on cameras but for $120 they seem to be a great deal

Hmmmm...should be getting the entire field easily. I even cut off the sides some in editing.

Do you possibly have the SJ5000X? There are 4 different SJ5000 cameras. All of them have an Field of View (FOV) of 170 degrees. This matches the GoPro wide FOV options. This should be plenty...it actually is too much. But the "X" model has at least 4 different FOV settings; from 70 to 170. Is it possible you are using one of the more narrow FOV?
