We are playing in a local tournament. 4th tournament as a team, we are starting to click. We were pretty successful on day 1, won all 5 games total score 32-2. Start day 2, win the 1st 2 games we play, which puts us in the championship game. We're happy, girls are happy, parents are happy. We hang around watching the games leading up to the championship game. There is a team making their way through the loser's bracket, but in doing so, according to one umpire, making a "mockery of the game." Pitcher is "warming up" but never throws a ball, same with the infield and outfield between innings.

They get to championship game. We are home team. Top they score 1 on 2 base hits and an error. Bottom of 1, 2nd batter reaches 1st on E6, 1B is standing on top of the bag, there is a collision. Obstruction is called, BR attempts to advance to 2B gets tagged out and sent back to 1B. Opposing coach is livid, calling for their SS to "Slap the tag one her if she goes to 2nd." Field ump calls time and warns coach not to encourage malicious play. Play continues, 3 outs, no runs scored.

1st batter in the top of the second inning doubles. Passed ball runner advances to 3rd where she delivers and elbow to our 3B back, she was standing about 3ft away from the inside corner of the bag. Runner called out and disqualified from the game. Opposing coach loses it and pulls his team from the field, forfeiting the game.

Thoughts?

WOW! What can you even say about that kind of behavior? What are those parents thinking, having their kids on a team like that?

The parents were worse, cursing like sailors at our team and parents after the initial obstruction call then again after their team walked off the field.

Once players start getting tossed, it is not a good day.

Might be worth going over Mangers head to organization.

Then again might not be worth the hassle.

The good news is that I've been involved with hundreds of games and this behavior is very uncommon. It's always nice to win on the field, but in this case there is nothing good
that can come from playing a team like that.

One of my regrets is that I did not grab DD and just leave one game, it was a mess.

Short version is the opposing parents were yelling and cusing at DD threw HC. No way would they yell at a little girl. Bunch of idiots.
