How do help kid deal with the frustrations of the recruiting process when them seem to be doing everything right but is not getting much more then "we like her" everyone says we like her but doesn't go further.
Here's a little of what she does right
She is gritty, tough and a natural leader
She goes to all the right tournaments and performs
IDT this past summer she hit .587 and nothing cheap she hits hard and can lay down a bunt for a single. Seems like every team we play always has extra to say to her after the game. One California travel ball coach even emailed her to say what a pleasure she was to watch play..
This Labor Day weekend at a pgf showcase hit over .500 and was gunned with a overhand speed of 65.2mph at the pre tournament camp and all the coaches know her by name but never really heard anything.
Weekend after weekend seems to lead the team a team that has 6 d1 recruits and still isn't getting any where.

Here's the kicker she's 5'3" how do I keep her going or do I just have to tell her no matter how many times she out preforms she may still get over looked?

How old is she? What position does she play? Size/build/speed/athleticism? Is she getting seen by the right level coaches for her abilities/potential? Playing on a team with six D1 recruits does not automatically make her a D1 recruit. When recruiting moved from juniors and seniors to freshman and sophomores, it forced coaches to become more "speculative" in a players potential. How are her grades/ACT/SAT? Never underestimate the importance of academics!

As far as frustrations, encourage your DD to continue to work hard knowing things will work out according to God's plan, not her plan. Try not to let her get too high or too low on any particular school because there can be all kinds of circumstances out of your DD's control on why a coach does, or does not show interest in her. Develop a Top-10 with 2-3 "dream schools", 4-5 "good choices", and 2-3 "fall back plans". Do not put all of your eggs in one basket thinking your DD is going to play P5 D1, sometimes D2 or D3 is a better fit athletically/socially/financially.

Jad makes great points!
As far as her height goes, remind her that Kelley Montalvo is only 4' 11", look at how her lack of height has held her back red is still the sarcasm font isn't it? LOL

She is a 2019 with 4.0... She recently moved from in/c to outfield because she thought she may have better chances at getting recruited there.

Is she doing all the off-field work or just turning up and hoping someone notices her.

- Does she have a list of target schools
- Are those target schools realistic? Is she JUST looking D1 or is she open to D2 or D3 (who tend to do less formal recruiting until they are Juniors)
- Is she emailing those target schools regularly with skills video, schedules and updates
- Is she taking schools on and off the list as they express interest or don't
- How are her grades? Has she taking the SAT's yet? What major does she want to do?

And so on. If you are not doing the work off the field, the chances you get noticed on the field are really low. You want to get coaches to come out ESPECIALLY to see her play. Especially on a team where you have a lot of talent and it may be additionally hard to stand out. As a coach, if I don't know your DD specifically and I am watching the game (probably looking at a totally different player), it is going to be real hard to notice your DD among at least 6 D1 commits who are her teammates. Also being on a team of committed players may make coaches think she is already committed - since most of her best teammates apparently are.

Not to get off topic but a quick question on this - if you get no response to an email that does not necessarily count as no interest...correct? If no response she should keep emailing, right?

Does her TB coach have a clue? If I had a team with six D-I recruits and 1 player with no offers who was out-hitting them and batting .587, I'd be making some phone calls to college coaches. I'd want some feedback.

Where does she bat in the lineup? Is she a defensive liability? Is she an academic liability?

Yes she emails yes she targets schools that are fitting. She took her ACT as a 8th grader and scored a 21 she just took it again and not received her score yet.
Like I said she leads her team in most offensive categories average, extra base hits, on base and so on.. She seems to stand out by the response she gets from the teams we are playing against and the umpires.
OK so how do we get the coaches there to watch just her? She can email and email but how many emails do they get a day? What's the chances hers get opened?

Coogan has a great point. I have seen some very talented players
have difficulty in the recruiting process as the coaches are not well
versed in 'selling' players.
