What sports do your DDs do off season?

In the past, DD 3 used to play volleyball. Now she is in HS, and is running Cross Country. She even convinced her sister, DD 2, to join in.

Also interesting to see when girls are doing multiple sports, which sport is each girl's primary sport. After a meet yesterday, we gave a ride home to a girl DD 3 played LL and C level TB in the past. DD 3 is clearly the better softball player of the two, but this other girl is clearly better at Cross Country. Similar when DD 3 used to play volleyball. Lots of girls were better at volleyball while DD 3 was better at softball.

So, what about YOUR DD?

When DD was younger she loved playing volleyball and basketball, but once she reached HS, she became softball only...

DD plays clubs softball, HS softball and is also on the varsity HS soccer team. She loves softball and really likes soccer and is good at both, soccer has definitely helped her speed on the softball field

Both dd's played 3 sports last year, softball, bball, vball. Hopefully just softball and vball this year. Think they like vball as good as softball, that's scary

Dds first love is softball. Then archery, shooting her AR-15, her semi auto pistol, throwing knives and has some SOG hatchets, still trying to get the throwing knives and hatchets down. Dd wants to work for the FBI. She is not looking forward to college. I have a feeling the liberal professors and the delicate flowers, students I mean are not going to like her.

You might be very surprised.

I used to teach college. In several places I was the most far-left liberal in my department, but I often formed very close bonds with the most conservative students and faculty. In one place the most conservative professor in the college was my closest friend. In another place the most conservative student I knew would ask me to read very conservative editorials she wrote because she valued my opinion, and she knew I valued hers.

If your DD keeps an open mind, she will make friends with others with open minds. Don't be surprised if, in a few years, her BFF is a pacifist socialist vegan.

I have a bestie that's a pacifist socialist vegan. She's trying to get me to join her on both the political front and the animal welfare front. I mean, my family discusses political issues at the dinner table and tries to get our perspectives on these topics...including our foreign exchange students that were hosting. Politically, I lean somewhat left. I liked Bernie but I despise Hillary and don't necessarily trust Trump. But it don't really matter because I'm too young to vote anyways. As far as vegan...I don't know if I could do it. I mean I love animals and think the way their treated sometimes is wrong. But...I love my burgers off the grill too much to give up meat entirely. Sorry to go political.

I play more than one sport. Softball is my primary sport. But I play field hockey in the fall and I'm thinking about trying out for cheerleading this winter and hang up my basketball shoes. Heck, if I like cheer that much this winter for basketball, I may hang up my stick and cleats and trade them in for pom-poms. Lol.
