Atlanta Peeps; can I pick your brain a sec?

DD tried out for an org that is new to GA, but I think it's an established org in other states. But I'm not sure. Since it's kind of an unknown entity, I was curious to know if anyone had any insider knowledge (good or bad). GA Legacy is the org and they are offering new teams in several age groups. We tried out for 14U.

I had not heard of Georgia Legacy until recently when I started seeing their postings on CC. Maybe they are more established for older ages (mine is going into 2nd yr 12U).

Someone today told me it's an established org that just hasn't been in GA until now. But I can't find any confirmation of that anywhere.

They are new - and I'm unaware of any national affiliation. Right now Glory and Firecrackers are the big names from out of state. I'm guessing a few more will be looking at our state in the next couple of years.

I haven't heard of them either. Do you know what team/organization the coaches came from? Maybe investigate through that route if there's no organization info.

Looks like the President of the org was with East Cobb Legends at least at some point. All kinda nebulous and unclear.

I think they are a new organization comprised of independent teams that elected to join.

This - yes, they are rebranding from East Cobb Legends to GA Legacy. I know someone who played there last season. Send me a PM if I can help facilitate an introduction to discuss their experiences.

Rebranding of the Legends is what I was told by a 14U dad the other day whose daughter also tried out for them. Their convenient location for folks who live in town seems to be the main drawing card.
