Utrip World Series Orlando. First bracket game and no scoreboards? Idk but that seems pretty odd to me. On the plus side, they didn't check our coolers at all. And I recorded the games with no issues.

We're in PCB for USFA this weekend and also no score boards at at least one of the parks. It's so annoying to me, even in regular tournaments. At these big ones it's even more so.
We have scoreboards on our fields, just ask and they will give you box to run it.

Through 4 years of playing travel, DD has been to 1 tourney/WS/park that used scoreboards.
What's so important about scoreboards? Doesn't everyone watching know the score/count/situation?

Down by 20 having an 8 YO asking if we winning, scoreboard might ruin that.

At Disney ESPN you get a scoreboard AND announcer. At all the satellite parks you get bupkis:/

Most scoreboards were not being used at World Fastpitch Championships in Kansas City last week, but they did have a person at each field keeping live score and stats that could be found online.
That's also one thing I like about GameChanger if you're keeping it live. I can go online w/ iPhone and see everything.
A few years back when I was helping run a rec program, we used our 4 fields for tournaments. Fields were mediocre. Two were too short (185 feet), and two were too long (270 with no temporary fences), and the lights went out a couple of times.
But by gawd, we had working scoreboards!

I was team mom for our 8U team and the girls were always asking what the score was. It was usually like 10-2 not in our favor. I would just say, "Don't worry about it! Just go play hard!"
