My DD is a smaller player (4'4"ish) she's been using a floppy mizuno 12.5 in glove that just looks too big for her. Like most kids she's not too exited to change her glove but I feel like she would do better with something smaller. Less floppy. She plays about 60% 2b and 40% cf. I think she likes the floppy mitt because it's easier to squeeze. She has small hands....any feedback/opinions are welcome

Take her to the sporting goods store and have her try n an 11"/11.5" Jennie Finch glove (pink /black) and or an 11" Cat Osterman "Monsta Web" glove (purple/black). These don't really require breaking in and she may outgrow them in a year or two.

When my DD was younger I would do that, have her tryout both gloves and I would throw to her in the store (easy) so she could see which was easier to catch with and/or more comfortable.

She had the finch black/pink glove.11" I think. But she despises "girly" colors now.

My daughter loved Mizuno Jenny Finch gloves. They have a smaller hand well which is much better for the smaller girls hands. Call Mizuno and see if they have the model of glove you want in standard colors. My daughter hates pink as well. I called Mizuno and they had the same glove in brown that was not on the website.

Keep in mind that the easier to close / pre broken in gloves will not last as long as a woman's glove due to the lighter leather and lacing. Don't be surprised if you have to replace it every 6 months or so with heavy use, and when you replace the glove keep the old one for and emergency backup. The reasonable cost does make this more palatable. Good luck

but at the same time, you are going to have to replace the glove due to DD's growth. My youngest DD went thru 5 gloves easily before High School, none of the finch or Osterman gloves lasted less than 1 year in our case.
also, while not as popular, the Osterman gloves are purple/black, look less "girly" and break in just as easily

My DD has really small hands. She can't even get her fingers in the finger stalls on most gloves. We tried several gloves on her before we settled on this one. Its like one step up from the Jenny Finch (NO PINK my DD hated pink too) but very similar and easy to close day 1. This glove will only lasy her 1 season of 10u travel ball. In fact it's already getting kind of floppy but she'll be fine with it for the next 6 weeks. We will keep buying her these until her hands grow enough. It's a decent glove

My daughter had that glove when she first started out. She loved it.

I'm the parent who made sure her 12 yo DD had an infield v outfield glove. If yours is catching the balls in CF I would suggest she stay with it for OF and go with a smaller glove that others have suggested as a compromise. 12.5 is what my oldest used for HS outfield and then went to 13" for college. If she's having difficulty in OF with current glove then guide her in her choices but let her choose. If a glove goes pancake flat when you drop it, it's time for a new glove. We are a Nokona family once they start to mature in body, mind and gameplay.

What do you guys think about investing in a Vinci or A2K at around 13 yo? My DD has 2 Mizuno gloves that we've had a cobbler re-lace, once for one and twice for the other. So, I invested in an A2K with the idea that it would last for a long time and the glove would handle her hand growing. I'm about to buy a A2K 1B glove as well. She loves the glove.

I don't think she'll out grow the glove, but worry the glove may get tight? My thought is her hand won't go over night, so the glove should slowly expand as her hand grows.
