How about the alert LF! She runs in to cover 3B, the throw from the P to nobody covering home hits the backstop, and the LF then runs to the backstop to retrieve the errant throw and run towards home plate, only to be blocked by her own catcher. I give the LF an A++ for knowing what was going on and for her effort.

Not that it really matters, but I think it was the SS who made the throw home.

I agree about LF. She seemed to be the only one who knew what was going on.

This may be an even bigger "oops" in district play than that one.

Lake Highlands 3, Irving Nimitz 2: Lake Highlands won a one-game playoff with a two-out rally in the bottom of the seventh.
MK Brennan singled and went to third on a single by Sasha Wall. When the Nimitz third baseman walked the ball to the pitcher and the catcher went out too, Brennan stole home to tie the score and Wall went to second. Sarah Thomas then singled to score Wall with the winning run.
