I help coach a 14u showcase team. I'm looking for suggestions on how to prep a pitcher to go in for releafe mid game when there's no real place for them to warm up.

This particular game was indoors with only small warm up areas for the next teams to use.

We typically have all pitchers at least warm up before the game and be ready.
This was a particularly tight game 0/0 with a lot of adrenalin. (We were a #4 team playing a tough#1)

What do you suggest we do to get the reliefe pitcher game ready with limited space

Last summer at the WCWS, I watched slingnit's DD playing underhand catch in the outfield between innings. Ever since then when DD is not scheduled to pitch I ask her to play underhand catch between innings to stay loose, just in case she is asked to go in on short notice.

You should through ball as much harder you can into the tarp that is tied with a soft net. This will help in arm muscles get more stronger and easier to play the game.

all good suggestions....but if you had some of the crazy pitcher's dads like we have had.....don't forget to give them all "it's the same for the other team" speech....

Small space, bad weather outside...can you get at least 20-25ft of throwing space? Just do slingshots or K positions at 50% and work your way up in energy. Sure you can't work on full distance off the mound drills with drive and throwing at distance but you get to warm up the arm and work on a lot of mechanics at the same time, with what space and resources you have.

J-band exercises is the best to prepare a team for the tournament. You should through ball as much harder you can into the tarp that is tied with a soft net. This will help them in building their throwing arms.
