Our first tournament is in 16 days, though we have a friendly coming up in 11 days.

It's one of the benefits of living in the south. But July and August really suck if it makes you feel any better.
DD 3's first tournament is mid-May. The cold weather May tournaments are a bit of a challenge, to keep her pitching arm warm.

May is just about perfect for softball in GA. Then comes June, and the frantic quest to stay cool enough not to have a heat stroke. Winters here are VERY weird for sure. You never know from one week to the next if you're going to need layers or a tank top. It's crazy.
DD seems OK with the cold weather, when it is cold and raining though.
Not one single person wants to be there, the game must go on!
