Don't book a room at Motel 6 or stay in a Motel 6. Ever! Yes the newly redesigned motels are nice. But the way they decided to set up the beds are very painful. Basically a table on the bottom and a hard mattress on top. My back is killing me. My daughter woke up really sore too. Heard lots of the same things from other parents that stayed there too.

Our team mom booked the hotel of course with good intentions. She was going on the bargain and trying to safe us some money. She didn't know that was the setup on the beds. Embassy Suites next time.

Oh yea and we had to pay for WIFI ??? LOL

I usually try for a Quality Inn or Comfort Inn. They're pretty cheap, but the beds tend to be comfy IME, the rooms are decent, wifi is free.

I always looked for Marriott (Fairfield Inn, Residence Inn, or Courtyard), Hampton Inn, HI Express, Hilton Garden Inn, or La Quinta. I never had luck with Choice Hotels.

I have had less than lovely experiences with both of these ^^^. Marriott or Hilton-family brands have been consistently better.
