Back on the dirt...
For those of you recording games, what's are you using? What is the easiest to use, easiest to view after, and has it been worth the investment?

I have really been thinking about doing this. I just don't always remember what happens in the game and would like to be able to see the game from a different perspective

TIA

GoPro and LynkSpyder...and several memory cards and back up batteries. :) There are accessories that I consider luxury, but for basic...this is way to go.

Us too. We also got a battery backup that plugs into the camera and charges it if the battery gets low, in case the battery doesn't last a full game. All this stuff was not cheap, but IMO, totally worth it. You can mount it on the fence behind home plate and get the entire field. With 2 kids in sports I sometimes have to miss games so it's nice to be able to watch them later, particularly if my DH comes home telling me about some awesome play or hit. Then I get to actually see it :)

We use a GoPro and LynkSpyder to video the whole field. We also set up a Sony HandyCam just focused on DD defensively and offensively.

On the go pro, do you need the one with the display screen to set it up? I have an original go pro and it wasn't hard to aim but my wifey is not as camera friendly. Thinking the display will help get it set up correctly. I would use it but I mainly use an iPad for everything now and I have not figured out how to make it work. Seems like the Bluetooth would make it much easier to use and view.

Thanks for the replies!

I use my phone to see the view, and to use the settings. You need to download the GOPRO app and turn on both the cameras wifi and the ipad wifi.

Gopro, LynkSpyder, external battery and battery eliminator - basically everything Josh recommends @ LynkSpyder.com
External hard drive for storage is a must
