I have to admit I got a little excited this weekend when I saw DD's school field being worked on - new clay bricks in the pitcher's circle, batter's boxes, and catcher's box! DD wasn't nearly as impressed.

Rampage - My envy for your level yard runs cold and deep. I'm contemplating building a batting cage. A Bobcat will be required for a couple of hours to make a large enough pad.

Smart man. Start small and slowly increase the size. You will get less flak that way and eventually you will have a full infield.

I may have a whole infield in years to come.

Get that bobcat , your back will thank you. I should have not been so cheap and rented one.

Ha! 'tis the season!

re-configured DD's practice "mound" and home plate yesterday. She's playing 14U for the first time this upcoming season, so saying goodbye to 40'...

Pitcher's plate is about 4" higher than HP, but reasonably level enough.

Some may question this orientation (pitching towards the house) but shes only broken one window in 4yrs...
