I never saw this before. My dd is pitching, gets a bit inside on a girl, she stops her swing and the ball hits the knob of the bat, and broke it right off. I didn't see what bat it was and all my dd could tell me is that it was a Worth. Now its a worthless, I hope it was under warranty.

Lots of ensuing sawing the bat off in her hands comments followed.

I broke the knob off DD's Worth last year hitting fungoes with it. Came off right in my hand. I don't know what kind of plastic it was, but I tried three different adhesives and none of them held. It was under warranty, and since it was a discontinued mid-price model, with a little haggling we wound up with a Sick 454 as a replacement.

Worth 2Legit broke (knob became loose) about my daughter's 8th game last year. Still in warranty and Worth/Rawlings replaced with new bat when I sent the original back with a receipt. New bat has seen a few games since and she thinks the knob might be loosening again (not in warranty at this point though). Her CF-4 and CF-5 have been flawless for years though.

I was throwing BP one day to a 9-year-old on my son's baseball team. On one hit, the entire barrel of his metal bat, about 18" worth, fell to the ground and he just stood there with the handle in his hands. It was pretty funny until he started crying.

Knobs are VERY common on Worth 2 piece bats (fp and sp) to come loose or off all together. The material used to
put them on could be better.

If it ever happens, just use marine epoxy or JB Weld, will hold better actually

went with a screw into the handle and some 3m5200. will see how that holds up. it was a teacher at hs practice tried her bat and the knob snapped right off. she was horrified! loves that bat!

Core, anyway to get rid of a rattle inside a bat? It's on the banned list but hitting fungo with it is annoying with it sounding like a rain stick. No Hijack intended:)
