I'm thinking of getting DD a new bat this year and wanted to get some feedback from you guys(and gals). She's a power hitter and currently uses an Easton 33" end-weighted bat. She loves it but it's going on it's 3rd spring season. She plays on a 16A/Gold team planning on playing a lot this summer between showcases and college camps. She's pretty Easton loyal but I've seen a lot of good and great non-Easton bats. Just remember that mom and dad are not made of money even if DD seems to think so.

DD has never had an Easton but if your DD likes them I do not think I would switch brands.

I have read good things about the Mako, I know a handful of posters have DDs swinging it.

Her team is likely full of all the new styles and brands of bats she can tryout. Feel and confidence in that bat is the biggest criteria when your talking the top bats-everything else is preference (end load vs balance, size, etc). Youll get a lot of great opinions here to sort through and Coresoftball20 hooks up members all the time.

DD swung Demarini for a couple years, switched to Easton mako last year (never really latched onto it), started swinging the new LS LXT and absolutely loves it. All great brands. The only brand we as a club had quality issues with is Worth.

I tried to get DD off the Easton and purchased her the 15' Xeno. It's currently in the bag as a back up and she is using a 15' Mako that she likes a lot.

Coresoftball is now selling Eastons if you want a good price and great service. DD has had about 25 bats to use over the years and always goes back to Easton. She used to use the FX1 (33-9 Endloaded) and loved it but has fallen in love with the Mako. It's not nearly as durable so I'd break it in and then use it in games. We had two drop 9 Makos that weighed almost 26 oz but then decided to go with a -10 Mako that weighs about 24oz. The Mako breaks in way faster than the older Eastons but it's worth it. I think a lot of people give up on the Eastons before they get broken in.

On my DD's 16U team I bet 11 of the 13 girls are swinging a 33" bat with lot of variations in manufacturer and weights. One day at the batting cage and someone could try out 5 or 6 different bats to figure out which one they liked. Some sporting goods stores also have batting cages and allow people to demo bats.

If your DD happens to like a 33/24 Xeno I have one in my office collecting dust. Bought it for my DD thinking she would like the extra weight, but she went back to her 33/23. Bat probably has 200 BP swings on it.

Xeno is the hot bat the last couple years without a doubt.
My best 2 power hitters use LS Lxt (-9) and Anderson.
Anderson seems to launch more out of the park
