DD playing 18U, bases loaded when our speedster left slapper gets up. Def has seen her and move in to try and get the play at home. She laces one hard down the RF line and it rolls to the fence. Runs come pouring in and here she comes, stand up in the park Grand Slam. I would have been hard pressed to believe it had I not seen it. Fields were 220 to corners so that did help and the fact the D was playing short. The girl is just unusually fast.

Did she run into the runner in front of her before that runner got home? There are some slow runners whose time from first to home is about the same as the fastest runners' times from home to home.

I saw something similar when DD #3 was on first base when the next batter hit a bases-loaded double. DD #3 didn't run into the girl who had been on second, but almost had to slow down to avoid a collision at the plate.

But hey, this was rec ball, in a fall league with a very wide range of ages and skill levels.

DD #1's best friend was a pretty speedy runner, and a lefty, and hit an ITP grand slam against DD #1's team. Won a rec league playoff game, grumble grumble grumble. BFF almost ran into the girl in front of her, but not quite.
