I have seen this type of thing MUCH more often in the spring, when games are snowed or rained out quite frequently, but...

DD #3 is playing fall rec ball. So far they have had 5 games scheduled, and have played 4. 4-0 so far, although 2 of them were very close.

The opening day game was rained out. So, they rescheduled it for a week later. Rain out again. So, they rescheduled it for this afternoon. Yep. Rain again.

It is ONLY this one game that keeps getting rained out. All their other games have been sunny days. She has games scheduled for tomorrow and Monday. Weather forecast is for clear skies both days.

I wonder if anyone has kept a record for how many a particular game, rec league, HS, TB leagues, or whatever, has had to have been rescheduled due to rain. I've seen 2 rain delays for the same game, but this might be the first time I've seen 3.

This weekend is our first rained out tournament. i will say though, last season (spring) we were absolutely CURSED for Tuesday practice. Tuesday was fielding practice, Wednesdays were batting/pitching/catching. Guess where we always lost our games? Yup, defense. Our bats were awesome, almost always scoring over 10 runs per game. Thankfully our fielding practices have all worked out through the summer so our team is looking much better this season.

We had had a baseball game game that game that was rained out twice. Then Then the third time we tried we got it in but it was called early because because of rain.

Well, at least it stayed above freezing in Madison all week! I know some areas further north weren't so warm.

My Husky is anxious for winter. Not much longer!

I came home from work the other day and it was 66 degrees in my house. Luckily I got DD to the park earlier in the week to do some pitching.

DD #3 had an 11 AM game today. I was really worried about how the cold would affect her pitching. She didn't pitch until the 5th inning, and by that time it had warmed up a bit. OTOH, the team was in too deep a hole for her to help them much.

I am glad to be from South Carolina. I will take the humid heat with a slight possibility of rain any day over cold freezing days with snow.

The game was rescheduled for Monday, October 6. This fall rec season ends October 4, with a week tagged on the end to make up any rain outs. So, if it rains on October 6, the game will probably never get played.

Just hope 4th time's a charm!

Man, in DD's 6 years of Rec (Spring&Fall) I don't think we have ever had a game cancelled over rain. Lol I do remember 1 game got cancelled over Air Quality because of an out of control brush fire some 50 miles away. Oh and a game was cancelled because field maintenance forgot the sprinklers on all night. I'm telling you it's rough out here in SoCal
