I just moved to Chicago, and of course softball is still a passion! I was wondering if there are any teams out here that could use a little assistance? Thanks guys

Midwest Fastpitch is the wild wild west of softball message boards. I hate to admit it, but I'm a devoted lurker there. It's like watching a train wreck combined with a three-alarm fire, all on stage with Jerry Springer.
Hey moron, there are two choices for softball in Illinois. The Bandits, or nothing. Get a life.
(just giving the OP a little taste of what to expect on the Midwest Fastpitch website.
That is actually a bit mild compared to some of the stuff on the site.

Maybe we could instead say that it is a taste of softball for our good friends in Chicago/metro.
Illinois softball is a whole lot more than that....
When I think midwest, for some reason that shining star by the lake does not come to mind.

FP Softball was really big there when I lived there 15 years ago (western suburbs). There were even men's fastpitch leagues out there. Chicago also has one of the professional teams (Chicago Bandits) and play in Rosemont.

True, but OP is moving to Chicagoland, which is the 600 lb. gorilla for the Midwest.
Now, if the mayor's daughter took up softball, the city would be spending untold millions on new softball facilities. Instead, she rows, so the city is building a $6 million state-of-the-art boathouse on public land for her HS level team.
Those are all good but that last link is to Illinois ASA. Given she's in Chicago a more applicable association would be Chicago Metro ASA:
