DD just got a new (old) bat today. The bat which is a 2012 Miken Icon Light 30" 18 oz., sold brand new 2 years ago for $299, got on Ebay for $90. The bat was still brand new, still in the shrink wrap, still has the 1 yr warranty, we think we got a great deal, gonna go hit 100+ balls in about an hour.

DD loves her 2013 Miken Halo Light 30" 18oz, hope this is just as good.

Asst coach for my daughters 8u travel team just bought a 2015 Demarini CF7, after tax he paid around $320, I told him he was crazy. He bought it in size 31" 20oz. I think it is too big for the team. He is going to let the whole team use it, which is good, but for most of the girls it is way too big.

Last new bat to arrive at house, daughter got it while I was at work and didn't tell me until she stepped in the cage at practice that night. She is still laughing about that one!

When I run across good deals I buy bats even if they are not the size my daughter uses. I keep them until someone in our org is looking for anew bat and I have it ready to go. I normally buy bats used and about 40% the cost of new and sometimes new ones if I run across a great deal. Right now I have 2 cf5's and a cf4 on the way and just got a rocketech the other day, I have a problem.

For the miken hit more than 100 balls, they need a lot to break in.

My DD used that exact same bat for the last two years, it is a great bat with a lot of pop. It was given to me by a nice guy in my
neighborhood. He saw me and my DD bucket pitching one afternoon and just stopped to see if we needed a bat !! Said it was too
small for his DD and he wouldn't take a dime for it. So, two years later its too small for my DD and just 3 weeks ago I gave it to
a girl at our church who plays 8U TB. Pay it back, right. Now this is one ugly bat, there is no color left on the barrel at all but it still
has a ton of pop. The look on the little girls face was priceless when she first saw the bat but her mom said she is hitting the ball
better then she ever has. I know its just 8U, but I've seen her TB team play and they are pretty impressive to watch. Its a great
bat Frenchy, I'm sure your DD will love it.

Thanks everyone, she loved it last night, hit it a little better than the Halo Light. As for the 100+ balls that is a nightly thing as long as the weather cooperates. By practice this Thursday she should already have 400+ hits/swings with it. Our problem now is deciding whether to continue using the bat jack or not? She has been using it since she started playing last year.
