Ones a catcher, the other a pitcher. Keep it in the public so I get a shot at it too... :{))

One was an inspiring young pitcher, the other was just a lowly catcher. :)

In TN it's hard to give directions, yes the state roads change names every 100 yards it seems. It's much easier to say turn left by the red barn, a left by the horse pasture, go 10 miles past the catfish farm and a stop before the moonshine still.

Oh you pitchers. How easy it would be to be a catcher if we didn't have to coax/cajole/humor/stroke/babysit/pick up after pitchers.

As far as directions go, you know those folded up colored things with colors and lines and names on em in the bottom of the glove box or under the seat, well they're called maps and can be very helpful to find your way to points of interest. However, GD if you do get lost, just call me and I'll give you signals so simple even a pitcher can't screw em up: 1=go straight, 2=turn left 3=turn right 4=stop 5=change drivers

True story, we were somewhat in GD's neck of the woods (at least I think we were) and I have just entered Tennessee. I pull into a gas station to .. and get directions to make sure I am headed in the right direction. So, the person working there does not speak English well enough for me to have a conversation but does point to one highway and tells me that is where I need to go. So, I am uncomfortable and pull in to the next station. Must be owned by the same family. Again, told to go on that road and drive south. Again, not comfortable. Pull into last of 3 stations. Must be the dad. He tells me the same. I do so. Holy moley, four or five route signs. I am headed south but now east. I am so lost. So, I pull into a gas station. This time, I run into a guy who is chewing tobacco while smoking a cig. In his best southern drawl, he points me to another road, tells me I must be a Yankee because I'm going east when I should be going south. He was funny to say the least. I'd guess 75 or 80 years old. He says take that highway. Stay on it until you get to Mississippi (Cornith) then, go east. Again, I am so lost. I go along on that road and out of nowhere the other route sign shows up that I'm supposed to be on. I take it and I arrive at where I'm supposed to be. So, I got there and didn't know how to get back. I had asked the dd to bring the Garmin with her and thank goodness she did. That is how I figured out the way home.

BTW, had that old guy told me "you can't get there from here," I might have turned around and headed back to Illinois. GD, the other option I was going to use was to get to Union, Tennessee and have you get me the heck out of Tennessee. Who knows, you might have had an overnight guest.

Even finding the right Union is hard. There is a Union City in NW TN, a Union township in mid TN, and Union county in east TN. :)

Hey, it was Jackson, Mississippi so am I silly. I was there on the campus of Union College for a time trying to figure out if I saw someone who might be able to tell me how to get to the tournament.
