The south is becoming a hot bed for college recruiting. I'd just say MHO is you would serve your girls MUCH better going to a few closer showcases and get a good number of responses, than 1-2 showcases on the east or west coast. The south recruits from the region if the talent is there, just like the coasts.

Most tournaments these days are called "Showcases" and all the college coaches go to all the showcases.

TC$ has become a money grab. Jacked up entry fees, unreasonable lodging policy, and not too many college coaches.
That southern force website appears a bit outdated.
From what I understand they hold fall expos, probably be a few months before the 2013 dates and applications are updated.

I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that GA has some great fastpitch softball talent and hosts a couple of great showcases. The bad news is that teams from all over the country come to play in them. Therefore, the competition to get invited is FIERCE! This summers legacy showcase is already full and has a waiting list. The 14U GA teams that got in all came from the marquee organizations (Vipers, Impact, ECB, GA Elite). My suggestion is to register early and then prove your team belongs on the field.
2013 ACCEPTED TEAMS
Showcases are not groups just running them for the fun of it.. They exist as fundraising/business functions. All of them, not just this one or that.
