My daughter is currently playing on A class tb team and we will be playing our last tournament (1st yr 14u) next weekend. Her school ball team starts throwing Jan. 7 (no hitting until 1/28) and it appears she will be the #1 pitcher for that team. We currently do hitting and pitching lessons once a week (1 hour on each in 2-4 person type setting) and do so throughout the year.

I feel we are at a critical time with her pitching as of right now because we have a lot of work to do on her spinning the ball more. Currently she just throws hard (55+ mph) and is sporadic at best with her change up and other pitches and her tb coach has told her she has got to have more movement on ball by next summer in order for her to be effective and I agree with him based upon the level of competition we'll be playing against.

She is already doing crossfit 2 times per week and has since start of sept. This is helping her lose weight and more importantly get stronger. We plan on continuing to do the same throughout the winter.

I need suggestions on breaks, if any, and if so, what kind, how long that sorta thing for winter. Otherwise, we will shoot to hit/pitch once/twice per week in addition to lessons on Fridays.

TIA
