I am thinking she could try a skull cap or a sweat band or I think that someone wrote once that he went to the fabric store and added foam to the inside of the helmet. I don't know what glue that he used.

I got a couple of sets of sizing pads from Softballsavings. Haven't tried them yet. My DD's helmet wouldn't fit her 8YO pill head last year, so I added some pads from an old bike helmet to tighten up the sides, and even put a couple of layers in the top from a cut up mouse pad. I hot glued them. I HATE it when one of my hitters is in the box and her helmet is almost down over her eyes. I saw one girl had one that had some sort of strap out the back that adjusted it somehow. I might look into that next time I see one.

Hello,

Inserts can be used, but I would recommend you to purchase a new helmet of appropriate size. Do not forget to try it before making payment for it.

Right Here For Now
Every batting helmet manufacturer makes a fit kit for their helmets. They can range from $3-$13 in price. Amazon carries many of them. Just make sure to buy the same manufacturer as the helmet to make it easier on yourself to install them.

^^^ This, but you will quickly find out that not every manufacturer makes a fit kit.
However, the fit kits are only foam padding with velcro so you can cut and design it to fit. This is what we have done for 8 years. FWIW, some are marketed as stain and microbe resistant.
