    Default Playlist for softball

I need some help and advice I have recently became an assistant coach to my nieces team and have been approached by some parents about the music that is played during warm ups. I personally do not like the music box but it is what it is so that why i need help. For those of yall who do do the music box how did yall select the music to play?

First advice is if you get songs off itunes is make sure to get the editted or "clean" version. It would be kind of embarassing to play a 5 minute cussing fest. I will post some of our list when my boss isn't sitting next to me anymore.

Agree with Redhotcoach. Adults tend not to be aware of the lyrics. I remember felling a little uncomfortable watching a team of tweens warm up to, "Hey Yeah" by OutKast...

This is like getting the job of rattlesnake tending.

Put a couple of arias on the playlist, and perhaps you'll get lucky and have someone else do this job.

If you have a device that has internet access, I would recommend using Pandora. Ask the girls what their favorite songs are, use those songs to "seed" the Pandora program, and it will select songs similar to the seed songs. You won't have to worry about buying any software or songs; you'll just have to listen to the occasional ad. I have Pandora on my phone, and when the DD and I go to the park to pitch, I turn it on and let it run.

I like Groove Shark way better than Pandora. No adds, unlimited skips and you can actually create playlists and save them!! It will remember every song you ever search for and add it to a song que list.

I personally like "The Game" by Motorhead, but I can't imagine a bunch of teenage girls liking it. It's got some inappropriate language, but it's really hard not to get psyched listening to it.

That is a good one...Deaf Forever is better for Motorhead (at least in my humble opinion).

DD's high school lets them pick a song for when they come up to bat and I think she's leaning towards Hells Bells by AC/DC. Nothing quite like the intro to that song.

Ask a bunch of middle aged folks and you will get middle aged music. I personally think Joan Jett's whole girls rock thing is great and Bad Reputation would be a great warm up song. But, it might be better to ask the girls what they want to listen to when warming up.

And, to show you how difficult it is, here is some of the lyrics from Kayne Wests, "Stronger:

    Let’s get lost tonight
You could be my black Kate Moss tonight
Play secretary I'm the boss tonight
And you don't give a **** what they all say, right?

If you were to plug "STRONGER" into Pandora, you could end up with stuff that would make a sailor blush.
