The inside of DD's glove smells really bad.

I have tried anti-bacterial spray and lysol to kill the smell, but it doesn't work.

What do you use to clean the inside of the glove?

Not here.
Played ice hockey. After leaving hockey bag in car truck for days at a time.Pads would be smelly and moldy. Learned air dry was the best way to get rid of smell and mold.Funny got checked more after equipment was dry.

In the future wear a batting glove or Xprotex glove inside the glove to absorb the dirt and sweat. Until I bought an Xprotex glove, I wore a small round microfiber glove inside my glove. I couldn't believe how dirty, it would get.

I think that you are on the right trail, though, because I suspect bacteria.

I've had some luck with this...

If the glove got really wet, more than likely it's holding moisture all the way through into the padding. That can take so long to air dry that mold or mildew will form before it gets dried out. Plus, since it's inside the glove whatever cleaner you put on the outside won't even come into contact with it.

You need to kill the mold, mildew or bacteria. What's worked for me before is to throw the glove in the freezer for a couple of days. The cold should kill any living thing in the glove.

When you take it out, don't bend, flex or use it until it's totally thawed out- you can crack the leather. This also might dry out the leather a little bit. Just give the glove a light wipe down with conditioner and it should be ready to go.

Never had to deal with a more than normal stinky glove, but my daughters new Mizuno cleats STANK way more than anything I have ever smelled. Way worse than her socer cleats which are usually sweaty and wet cause of the weather. But with both of I have used baking soda and those fabric softener sheets. the sheets actually worked better than expected. Maybe you can shove them up all the fingers of the glove.
Or like the dude above said, kill it with fire!

Put baking soda in it....a BUNCH...put it in sun to get it good and warm...leather sorta sweats some...leave it in a day or 2...then shake out all you can...replace it with Gold Bond Medicated talcum powder...a day or so...shake out all you can...should help funk

I use a product that was made for Hockey equipment .. NatureGreen Clean Shot. It's 100% Natural and is made from oils so it actually helps the glove break-in. If you search for .. NatureGreen .. on eBay it's there or you can go to their Canadian site to purchase .. www.naturegreen.ca. Actually use it on the bag and cleats now.
