I see your point Coogan, but in prior years (in fact every other year) girls had try-outs at a facility, were ranked on their skills, and an attempt was made for equal distribution among all the teams. Inevitably, there was some imbalance, but the process was generally perceived as fair. This particular year - to put it mildly- "the needs of a few outweighed the needs of the many"
