Happened this weekend, helmet dropped for a pop up and snap and screw both come off. Scramble to borrow #2 catcher's mask. We were able to fix by hand for next inning. First thought was, time to get a second helmet and keep first as backup. Second thought was to ask if it made sense to have a repair kit, and what would you put in it?

You can find a repair kit for Rip it Batting helmets that has snaps and screws. it's usually $5-$10 dollars at Dick's Sporting Goods. For Catchers helmets, get a hockey helmet repair kit. There will be a couple extra items (chin straps, etc) that you won't need but it'll have the right face mask clips for a catcher's mask ($8-$15). Those two along with a screw driver and pair of pliers of it will save you a heart attack after an umpire dugout inspection.
