Best remedy for "catchers thumb"?

I have never had this injury before. It sucks. I use a true catchers glove. Maybe I should use a 1st basemans glove? I have used the Youtube wrap technique from Texas A&M I believe that was. It helps but all it takes is one off angle catch and my thumb is numb for 30 seconds...

Help?

Attack the ball more when you catch it. If you are aggressive with the mitt, the ball doesn't get the chance to bend back the thumb, (As often)

An EvoShield Thumbd Guard or a Catcher's Thumb will prevent the problem.

My DD had this injury early on. The Evoshield worked quite well for her, both by allowing her to catch while healing and preventing future injury. She later switched to a Vinci mitt and has had no further need of the guard.

I use the evosheid thumb gaurd along with a padded glove that looks like a batters glove. I've had no issues.
