DD is using a wilson that fit her best when trying on this spring. But is so hard that it protects but she feels full force of ball. Tried her teammates but seemed almost to soft.

Hate to order with out finding out which seems best. tried that and sizes where way off.

Price point is not an issue.

DD has the Schutt S3 CP. She loves it. It has 100's of ventilation holes which allows the air to circulate and lets the player breathe as well as having progressive padding. It starts soft and gets harder in the middle until it hits a plate layered in it then goes hard back to soft on the reverse side. It's also lightweight compared to many others out there.

The Schutt 3.2 is really a fantastic chest protector as is their whole line of catchers gear. My daughters have been using it for a little over a year playing/practicing 4 days a week. I'm very impressed with it. The Wilson stuff is OK in my opinion. I wore Wilson exclusively for 11 years, but the new stuff is lacking

With the Wilson ProMotion gear being phased out, I suggest the All-Star Vela chest protector.

Man, I didn't know that the Wilson Pro Motion stuff was going away. Guess I'm going to have to fork over some bucks to get some shin guards before they are gone.

My daughter actually uses a baseball chest protector; Rawlings 950x. Great impact absorption. Requires modification of the straps to fit some narrow ladies.

Which model of Wilson chest protector? The Wilson ProMotion that my DD is currently wearing is softer than the All-Star Vela she had previously, which was softer than the Schutt Scorpion she had before that. My DD loves the way the Wilson ProMo fits and moves with her.

DD had the Wilson and actually prefers the S3. Just an FYI. She says that the impact is less and that it's cooler because of the ventilation.

I haven't seen the S3 in person. When it's time to go to a larger size, I will put it on the list to check out.
