Lenski, they are not really wide, they just are a bit deeper. I guess that is the best way for me to describe them, front to back. They could fit my DD's baby giraffe legs better but they didnt seem as wide as some of the other brands. The Slim Jim in drain pipe is a fair comparison.

A lot of picking the right size depends on how the player is put together. My DD is 5'-3" - long legs, short torso. My DW (5'-7") and DD are about the same on ankle-knee measurement.

This is from about a month ago, wearing 14.5" All-Star Vela legs...

Dang Eric, looks like a passed ball would roll into another zip code at that field, Maddie better be a wall. I'm sure that's talked about before the first pitch is ever thrown!

Yeah. There's a lot of space on that field. The bonus is that there is also an increase in opportunities for hauling in pop-up foul balls.
