I know it's been beat to death! I am considering one of the 3 brands. Please help and has any had any experience with the new easton mako. It's the new gear that jen schroeder is promoting. All the feed back will be greatly appreciated! !!!!!!!!

I don't know but I ordered my girl the promotion leg guards today. She seemed to like them when she tried them on.

My DD has a Schutt chest protector and loves it.
She tried the Mako and Wilson on as well, but felt that the Schutt fit her best with Wilson a close 2nd. Can't speak to shins or helmets...DD has Mizuno shins and All-Star helmet. Again - just what she felt most comfortable in.

I like the Schutt the best as a matching set, but a mix-matched set may work the best. Finding a store where you can try on all the options in pieces can be hard to find though

We mix matched a new set. My dd is tall an thin so a set won't fit well. All Star legs and chest (different sizes) and Schutt helmet. The helmet just came in today and is the best I have seen.

DD wears an All-Star chest, Mizuno legs and and Adias helmet. A set would never work for her so I would suggest trying several combos out. Catchers have to spend a lot of time in their gear and are involved in every pitch so they need to be comfortable.

Be aware that Jen came from an Easton-sponsored school (UCLA), and has continued to promote Easton gear as an instructor.

My DD is currently wearing All-Star legs and chest, and a Wilson helmet. IMO, the All-Star gear was a slight improvement over the Schutt for comfort and protection for my DD. My DD had an issue with her Schutt legs twisting around during normal use. This hasn't been an issue with the All-Star legs. Despite having a lot more hard plastic area than the Schutt legs, we were quite surprised at how light the All-Star legs are. I also give a slight advantage to All-Star over Schutt for the chest protector. The soft outer layer of the All-Star does a better job of deadening the rebound of blocked balls. DD reports better impact absorption, too.

I continue to hear very good things about the Wilson ProMotion legs and chest. When it's time for my DD's next set, they will definitely get a close look.
