DD had a nice weekend. 6-8 with 3 singles, 1 double, 1 triple and a 2 Run Home Run under the lights at the main complex. One tournament left this fall and hoping for no rain. Hopefully she can keep it going.

We have 2 left, and we haven't gotten rained out all fall. I hope it continues that way!!

Dd went 10 for 11 at the plate yesterday as lead off with 1 triple, 2 doubles and 7 singles. Not bad for a kid who has been struggling at the plate. She also played her last game with a big gash on her leg from being cleated in game 2. She spent the evening in the ER getting stitches - but still had a huge smile on her face! Her team won the championship last night after finally playing as a whole team. (They had 3 HS who were finally able to play with the team - and finally no pick up players).

...the only bad news? She's probably out for next weekend - no contact sports for 2 weeks - they don't want her to bust open the stitches.

Good news - DD committed to D3 school of her choice.
Bad news - she sucked playing wise (we combined her visit with tournament that was in the area of the school) - pitching was off, hitting was bad (kept rolling over - OLD bad habit!!) She didn't practice much over last 2 weeks due to being in a car accident (her fault but she's okay), being sick, extensive AP homework, and throwing out her back (lower lumbar-saccral strain). It was painful to watch her play this weekend - fortunately coaches from her school saw the better game of the 5 and already know what she's capable of. I am just grateful they didn't see her the last game she pitched...sucked royally. LOL

Congrats!

DD visits a couple of local D3s with interest in two weeks.

Awesome...good luck to her! Would be funny if one of them was the one DD committed to. But I guess that depends on what you mean by local. To me, that means Texas. LOL! Guess we will find out. :)

DD played in last tournament of 2016. 7 for 11 at the plate with 2 doubles, 2 triples and 8 rbi. Got a W in the only game she pitched. Not her best effort in the circle, but was good enough on that day.

Another pitcher on the team had a college coach come watch her play and promptly pitched awesome!! My fingers are crossed for her. Great young lady...

Congratulations to your DD! And sounds like she had every reason to be struggling, so glad coaches know her and watched the good game.

We've had those discussions before, "Geez I'm actually glad that Coach [XYZ] wasn't here to see that mess!" 😆

I am just loving all the commitments and verbals I'm reading about. It makes me feel hopeful and excited for my kid.
