New member intro and brag

I'm new here and just checking out the different forums and thought I'd start here

DD has been playing rec SB for about 8 seasons and has been on her all-star team the last 3 years. Her first all-star season (pee-wee) they were undefeated in all three tournaments (going 13-0)

This past season, they won 1 tournament and came in second in another, then went on to be undefeated in the All-Star State Tournament and then coming in 3rd at the World Series. She also tried out and made the Middle School SB team (she's 1 of 4 girls to make it as a 6th grader and the only 6th grader playing starter in-field at short stop)

She's actually playing up to be on the team and will be moving up to Major for Fall as well in rec.

They just had their pre-season warm-up tournament for MS and the first game, she had two hits and caught 3 pop-ups

Super proud of her!

Welcome to DFP nixxy311. I see you are from Georgia. Lots of great GA folks on the board who can offer tons of advice about the status of softball in our state, and can be a tremendous help should you choose the Travel Ball route for your daughter.

Congrats! Just an FYI. Many of us on here love to follow the other members DD's and enjoy their accomplisgments vicariously. Now that you've started this, you better continue to keep us updated or else we will hunt you down...

So far SB hasn't really been that bad - I'm sure it can get worse. My other DD is in Comp Cheer - talk about runaway train

Trust me...you have no idea. The upper echelon teams that have a reputatiin of placing players on the top 25 D1 teams, play showcases all over the country and have branding are charging 10 k and up per year.
