Just for fun :) My DD pitching against the Atlanta Vipers at a scrimmage (don't get me started on why this was her only inning out of 8; remember how very important it is to win a scrimmage...oh, wait...). She had one walk, 2 strike outs, and one out at 1st. She was also recovering from the flu so this is her at about 60% her normal energy level. She's a trooper. I didn't get to go (I was sick too, blah) but my DH said half the team was recovering from some illness or other. WINTER. Such fun.

How old is she? Love her swagger
I realize it's just an early season scrimmage, but I hate/despise/loathe it when the ump is in the circle!!!!!

She hated it too! She said he was very distracting. I told her distractions make for good practice :) She's 9.

Eek, snow. She'd be jealous though. We don't get much snow in Georgia and when it does snow it melts in a day or 2.

Keep up the great work. Innings will come. I was distracted by the Ump too!! Looked like he was standing on the pitcher's plate. Give her some room buddy!

I know, right!? Stop crowding me, dude! lol

I was talking to our #1 pitcher's dad at practice yesterday. He told me he warmed my DD up before this inning. He said he thinks she'll be getting more pitching time soon, she's looking really good he said. It was nice to hear from a dad who's been in the pitching thing longer than we have :) I was clocking them with my fancy new toy (pocket radar ball coach) and our #1 was hitting 42/43, low 40. Mine was hitting 40/41, low 38. Not too shabby. I only care because the coach cares about speed more than anything else.
