Senior Honors Convocation Brag

Today my dd was honored at her Senior Convocation. She was recognized for a variety of activities and received a passel of certificates that look like just about every kid gets. However she did receive several awards worthy of a shameless brag

She received recognition for
3 Sport athlete award
NHS
Student Government
Honor Roll
Math Department award
Science Department award
United States Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete award
2 local foundation scholarship awards
American Legion scholarship award
Presidential Scholar award (gold)
Female Athlete of the year award as decided by the athletic department (to go along with being voted in the yearbook for athlete of the year by her peers)
Academic Letter (second time) awarded for 4 straight semesters of a GPA of 3.67 or higher.
Summa Cum Laude
1st in her class (they don't call it valedictorian)

And she did it all with her pancreas tied behind her back. I can't begin to say how proud I am of her and her goals.

Oh and to bring a little softball into this brag post she was chosen to play in the local HS all star game.

Congrats to your DD on her academic achievements. While I am proud of DD on the SB field it is the classroom that blows me away. Walk tall and be proud of her.
