I agree that she pitched too much and needs to rest her arm. Just was wondering if using the Icy Hot while trying to use those muscles could have also contributed to her feeling like she had no control of her arm. The article seems to indicate that it could be.
"Yes, without a doubt. If she wants to play 1st base long term the sooner she starts using a 1st baseman's mitt the better" True... my daughter has used one since around 14U and is 18U now and has scooped many out of the dirt that she probably would not have if using her fielder's glove..
Last night my dd (hs senior) pitched the worst two games I've seen her throw in a long time(speed with no control). She had a sore arm after pitching 3 full games last Saturday and had been putting ice on her shoulder every night since. Last night after the games she said she felt she had no...
My daughter likes her rip it and we also had a problem with the insides, but she stuffs her batting gloves and facemask inside when its in her bag. A little (maybe a little to much) Gorilla glue fixed the problem.
DD loves her Easton Stealth Speed SSR3B. I think its a 2010. She was able to find a new one on ebay to replace her current one when it breaks.. I believe I saw some of Alabama's girls using this bat.. My daughter has tried a new version of the Stealth Speed but did not like it as well.

My daughter (16) had a pair of Boombah Restistance Metal cleats (mens) last year and she liked them. She pitches and I added tuff-toe but sometimes she drags with the side of her foot and thats where they wore out. (but she did get one year out of them) The price was 1/2 of what Ringor cleats...
Agreed,, my daughter took one to the face while pitching last spring on varsity.. she was wearing a mask and was a little shaken up, but finished the game... I felt sick to my stomach everytime I thought about what would have happened with no mask,.. She's got great reflexes but this one got to...
"Watch the slowed down frames....as she starts to swing she drops her hands to get level with the pitch....her thought should be to work the barrel down to and up through the ball....here she is dropping her hands to try and work up to the ball.....and if she is dropping her hands - she is...
I've been telling my 16 year old daughter about all the great information on this forum and got her blessing to post a video of her hitting to get some feedback.... she's a strong girl and decent hitter, but (I/we) think she would benefit with better hitting mechanics.... What would be the some...
