    watch d1 games and count how many pitchers are step and slam the door type, not too many, and I doubt if leap and drag is just a fad without an advantage over the out dated slam the door mechanics.

    the problem isnt that i am not athletic enough, im an old guy who always could hit and still can, but many of the young girls i teach are not so naturally athletic, they need lots of direction and i am willing to listen to others who are successful to remedy their problems.

    i have had this issue with severaly of my young pitchers, someone on this forum had said to emphasize that the entire pitching motion was in to two phases, not three, up together and down together, that has helped several of my players.

    yup, its the one pc i reccomend to my players, dozens of his pitchers went on to throw in college , some even d1, but he is still willing learn to become a better teacher, thats a good coach. I am always looking for better ways to teach my players!!!!!!
