IMHO.... any time a fielder (who does not have possession of the ball) either impedes or causes a runner to alter her path to the base, it is obstruction
Agree 100%
Same situation with the ball striking the bat on a "backswing" would be interference... you can actively hinder without intentionally doing so
All recommended changes were subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors. In Rule 2-65-2, the committee added language to include intentional walks into the fast-pitch game. The rule states that a request for an intentional walk can now be made prior to or during the at-bat by the...
I was once asked how many pitchers a team should carry.
The answer is "2 is too many and 5 is not enough"
As far as how many players a team should carry ... after 10 U, to make sure you are able to field 9 players you should probably carry whatever age group you play, i.e. 12-18
its hard to...
I had a Texas 2A regional final game (NFHS) where the batter boxes were 4'x6' and about a 3" river
I let the coaches know at the plate conference that I would be enforcing regulation box and that batters would be reminded to maintain 6" from plate

Call time, walk to the offending coach, and have this convo shoulder to...
I no longer use my phone to keep time in tournaments for appearance reasons... i bought a digital cook timer with a magnet i can stick on the fence

If a ball hit the rubber and bounced into foul territory in the infield it would be a foul ball, but never heard that one
(assuming it was a line drive into the rubber and did not touch the ground in fair territory)
