couple of situations from our tournament this weeknd 12u rec
our runner on third was called out for hesitation..the pitcher had turned toward third and raised the ball from her glove with her throwing hand(which blue acknowledged). No one was covering third, my runner did not immediately return to the base, which I thought was allowed if a play was made...- miker

Batter's Box positioning strategy 12 u rec
where do you position your batters in the box against a lobber pitcher...most of my hitters are out on their front foot and cueing the balls off the ends of their bats...would love some ideas, thanks in advance....12u rec.- miker

suggestions for fun/competitive end of practice drill / game
for 12u rec back coaching 12u for the first time in about 4 years. I'm looking for suggestions for good end of practice drills or games. I'm really trying to change it up this year and keep everybody involved and interested. Thanks in advance for suggestions!- miker

Professionalism of umpires
had a rec tournament in an adjacent town this weekend in which we had some problems with an umpire. "turning the wrong way" at first
what is the rule per NSA? I was told by an older experienced ump a few years back that the runner must be making an concerted effort to run to 2nd to be tagged out , not just turn into fair territory. Got it called the other way tonight and the ump made a big stink about it. Just wondering...- miker
