    Hitting Question on Hitting with fron Heel raised and tunred towards pitcher

    I have taught raised heel in 10U with 50-70% improvement. Never thought of turning toward pitcher but, I like it and will try it!

    What I want from an umpire

    I want a PU that has a generous, (24") east/ west strike zone BUT, a conservative ( letters to top of knees), north/south zone. I want a BU who let's the play finish before making his/her call, don't anticipate and call what they THINK is gonna be the outcome.

    My busy brain

    Fly ball strikes 3rd/1st base bag, front edge/ top/w'ever and then caroms 90. deg. onto foul ground, 1st time it touches the ground. Is this a fair or foul ball?

    The cruises were to be done at end of game. After starting this thread, I got unexpected help from a parent, ( aformer player MOM) who just had every team member run with the 3rd strike lookers, it has helped somewhat.

    Crow Hop

    I try to have my OFs hop on every throw back into IF, in my mind it increases momentum and speed of throw. I have also found in the majority of times it improves assuracy , also.

    I usually say " don't let anything close get by"-- with 10U and 12U their attention span is short, MOST parents tell me "you gotta remind her" or U gotta stay on top of her" " she goes into ____________ land",etc. I also ask the batter the count about halfway into her AB just to see if she is...

    I'm confused, why would U NOT want a pitcher to cover home on a passed ball and WHY would u not wanna catcher to block the ball in the dirt?

    How do you other coaches deal with players watching 3rd strikes? I feel there should be consequences, I use a "cruise" home plate to foul pole to foul pole back to home. Some parents seem to think this is "brutal" any comments? After 4 yrs. of 12 & 14U I'm doing 10U pard this year, quite a change!

    I know this is not the classifieds, but, I need /am seeking a used Easton SSR1B in size 28/18. I coach youth ball, am dropping down to 10U this season. I have this model in larger size, LOVE this bat, but feel the need for shorter/ lighter for younger /smaller age group. Anyone got 1 laying...

    Pitching machines

    I saw a picture of a red DOUBLE wheel machine that has the wheels sitting parallel to each other, it's for sale, but I don't know name brand and can't find anything like it on the net. Have any of you folks ever seen one like this and if so please post brand name?
