Just too hot.
When my DD was in college she had a summer workout given to her by her coach. She had to run 3 miles in the HEAT OF THE DAY. While she was running in TX, she was quietly cursing the Canadian player.- Jojo

ornelas85, I think she looks great for her age. Yes she has things to work on, but she's 9, of course she has things to work on. As far as the conflict, it does need to be addressed as it will also hamper your DD's skill growth. You don't want her confused, you don't want her doing one thing...- Jojo

Need a Pep Talk
You have to do what you feel is best for your DD. I went through a similar experience with my DD, and mine was blackballed at 12yrs old because she left to go play travel ball and didn't stay in the league and represent the town. Didn't matter than as an incoming freshman she was the best on...- Jojo

You don't have to throw those pitches between innings
Watching my students in games, taught me so much. First warm up of the day, the pitchers are sent off with their catchers, 10u & 12u rec. No parental supervision, just goof off throw the ball around. Half the warm up was spent chasing balls. They only warmed up for 15 minutes, never got full...- Jojo

Uniform #'s
Mine was assigned #13 in high school. She asked for in it college and they said -no no noooo! We don't use that number! So she picked #33. I see a lot of #33 pitchers on tv, and I don't know why that is.- Jojo

Snap the wrist, close the hips?
I use one, mostly for the kids that have been taught to snap up/hello elbow. They begin to throw high and then start leaning over to snap with the elbow to keep the ball down, and shove the ball out of their hand. I'll use it on them just so they get the idea of getting the release of the ball...- Jojo

I have a great kid!!!
Mine caught the teaching bug too. She wanted to be a Crime Fighter! She never changed her major though, got her degree in Criminal Justice, then went on to teach (Government, social studies, history and economics) and coach.;)- Jojo

More severe penalties
It spoils the sport. Every day I have to work the inside spot with my pitchers because hbp trend has trickled down to the lower ages. Most of their coaches refuse to call them inside anymore. I worked an 11yr old last night that hasn't thrown an inside pitch all season, then a high school...- Jojo

Going Crazy......
In the real big storm 2 weeks ago, my town got 8.8 inches in 4 hours. Town flooded pretty good, didn't see DH all day since he's a first responder and people kept driving off into the ditches. I also lost a good size tree and power for most of the day. The 24 hour total was 12 inches. It's...- Jojo
