This is a good point, about simulation of the pitch and timing. Sometimes the arm motion would happen very slow, but the machine is cranked up to the highest speed. All that contributes to timing issues.

Also, I want to clarify that although the article I'm linking in the post is stating the referenced subject as a statement, I'm stating it as a question.

I think what you mention here is key. Players modifying their swing slightly to accommodate the machine. For experienced/older players, that have developed muscle memory, they can afford to modify swing slightly. For someone that is still young, it could be an issue. IMHO.

Thank you. This is helpful. I'm planning on bringing my DD this weekend to a batting cage and practice this so that she can get the the timing. I'll try the left hand ball in machine while making motion with right. I'm also going to try some of the things recommended in the article.

I did research (call it what you like.. google search, all fine with me.. semantics), and found the article I'm referencing, as well as many other articles.... this is the one that caught my attention and it makes sense.
I don't think we are disagreeing on this, as the way the tool is being...
Thank you for your comment. This is precisely what the article refers to. The proper use of the tool. It is highlighting the bad use of the tool.

My DD has very good contact when hitting from live pitchers. In the last two seasons, she have struck out probably only around 6 times. >.400 batting average, she hit the most doubles and one of the highest in extra bases hits on her team. She also have sound swing mechanics.
However, when...
Josh,
If I may, I would like to offer a suggestion for your product after an experience I had.
In one of my DD's games, I mounted the LynkSpyder as I always do, and the sun was hitting it directly and reflecting it very badly. So much that I had to take it down, because I was afraid it was...
We paid around $1,300 for a Travel Ball team that plays 1 tournament during fall and 7 during Summer. Then we take our DD to a specialized softball training school from Sept to March ($800, 2.5 hrs per week) for their catchers and hitting program where she train with former D1 collegiate level...
I haven't had my DD played on fields with backstop mesh, but when she does, I still have the LynkSpyder which you can mount on the mesh. No way to mount an external mic if you use the lynkSpyder mount on mesh because you have a small hole where only the GoPro lens will fit. When that time...
I also modified the skeleton housing of my GoPro.
When mounting, I place the GoPro lens through the link fence (not enough that will stick out, but enough that will still leave the camera lens protected if a ball hits it). When located in that position, the skeleton housing has a very...
Some photos of my new rig. It has a custom made adapter for a REMOVU display, which allows me now to use the external mic. In addition, you can see the articulated mount. If you noticed, the fenceclip is upside down from the recommended mount. It works better with the articulated mount and...
