Interference Called, Play at First Not Called?
This just happened last night. HS Ball. Runner on 2nd. Hard grounder to F6. Fielded, then Runner on 2nd runs into F6. F6 still makes the throw to First and beats batter by two steps. Interference called R1 out, but R2 is at first. Is the play dead after the interference was called? I...- PracticeIt

The runner was returning to first as F3 was attempting to make the play. It was all at the same time. I would say that the runner was on first a half second before first made the dive for the ball. That is how I would think it would be. Unless they advanced after an error, it would be 2 RBI's. Thanks for the confirmation. I have been surprised by a bunch of rules this year, so I wasn't going to assume I was right.- PracticeIt

Slugger Complex in Peoria, Illinois
Be prepared with both Metal and turf/molded cleats. There will be a good amount of teams there and some games will be played at the East Peoria complex which is dirt/grass fields. Just want to make sure no one leaves their metal cleats at home!- PracticeIt
