We used bownet balls for a early spring tournament in the low 40's and a June tournament in the hi 90's. Balls held up really well in both climates and stayed solid. We didn't have to throw out as many as we had in the past so ended up with about 2 doz extra from previous years using when we...
Got the Qpro from core on Thursday and used at our tourney this weekend. Went from a cf8-11 to qpro-10. Out of the wrapper, Line drive up the middle, hard ground ball through the left side, fly ball over the RFer, bloop single over second. All sounded solid. Only problem was there must be...
We use a schutt fold up tee to take to games only. Last year it held up pretty good except i had to replace the top once. I can fold it up and fit into my bownet bag if i angle the legs just right. Inside and outside practices we use the tanner t. Takes alot of abuse and keeps on ticking.
Off, work on how far off is for each girl. If i dont feel like they are "off" far enough then i will be a little more direct with "offofffoff" otherwise it is off....off... back/go
Mine is wearing the ix5 shins now and really likes them, had allstar prior. Said that they felt a little heavier but likes the feel much more. Looking at the Prowess chest now, was not happy with her old Easton gear but it was a beginner set.
Currently using All Star but they are about worn out. Bought ix5 shin guards about two months ago. She use them to work on blocking drills in the basement and seems to like them. Loves the quick connect of the clips and the feel, just a little too big to start using for gameplay right now but...
We had no big adjustment with hitting. My DD who is a catcher and on the really small side struggled a couple of weeks getting the grip correct on her throws to second. She said it just didn't feel right. After a few practices it came around and was throwing without a problem. First few i...
Last weekend, batter bunts, pops up maybe 6 ft in the air a couple of feet in front of home plate. Infield fly rule. Catcher was still in receiving position, pitcher was jogging in no where near the ball....
Hate playing the clock. I brought my team to play, not manage time. 10 seconds is tough to lose by though. If i know it is that close, i may give an extra couple seconds for a sign or take a pitch. We have played teams where they do a shoe check to waste time
Cleaning out the bags! Last tournament of the year was last weekend, now emptying the backpack and catchers bag to see what is growing in them. I'm sure i may find a sunflower field and who knows what else. Tryouts start Saturday so time to clear the clutter so we can find all of the gear.
My DD also took lessons this summer from Cannonball. She is a 10u girl so was on the younger side. I can honestly say she loved every minute of the session and couldn't wait to go. After the sessions she would tell me why he was having her do the certain drills. It was so much more that just...
Talked to TD at last tourney and asked if i could purchase some of the balls after tournament. She had 4-5 boxes from the last one with her as backups if needed, told me i could go through them and pick out what i wanted for $2/ball. Got some really good ones that looked like they were only...
I think you give your kids as much as you can but you still have to make time for yourself. If you make 90% of the games she will remember that, not the one time you missed. Make sure you get updates and let her know you are following her and there for her even though you aren't sitting in the...
usssa southern Ill state this weekend. Double elimination so we should be able to get some games in this weekend. Should be another hot one this weekend. Heat got to DD last week even with all of the water. Catching 3.5 out of 5 kicked her butt.
